Evo-G MP2 Mouse Pad Review

Posted by: David Mitchelson () on: 01/12/2009 12:00 AM [ Print | 0 comment(s) ]

Testing and Conclusion
To test this pad, we will observe the performance it offers whilst playing a series of games. Careful attention to the accuracy the pad provides the mouse with will be noted. The games tested with the mouse pad will vary in genre for a good comparison.

For this test the Logitech MX518, Razer DeathAdder and the Nova Slider X800. These mice are among the most popular gaming tools used so this will give a precise indication of whether the MP2 merges well with these peripherals. Each game will be tested under each mouse for 30 minutes.
The games tested for the Evo-G MP2 were:

Call of Duty 5 – World at War
World of Warcraft
Grand Theft Auto IV

The Evo-G MP2 worked very well with all games. There was plenty of room for high, medium and low sensitivity modes on the mice tested. As mentioned previously the smoothness of this pad is excellent. You will have no problems with comfort.

The glide and traction the MP2 provides is very good. In each of the games played, there were no problems experiences whatsoever. Call of Duty was probably the most accuracy dependant game tested with the MP2 and the results were very pleasing. You can rest assured that each mouse stroke is carefully guided when using the MP2.

Conclusion

Evo-G has produced a simple but effective mouse pad in the MP2. It looks and performs very well. Throughout all the games tested and the hours spent using this pad I was very pleased with the results. Even after hours of usage, the pad is comfortable.

So if you are looking for a companion for your gaming mouse, something that will aid your gaming experiences then the Evo-G is certainly a good choice and I would recommend it to anyone looking at buying a new mouse.

The difficulty comes with the availability of the MP2. I’m sure though that this will be resolved over time. It can be found on some european websites and roughly translates to around £8-14. Which is very good value indeed.

I would like to thank Evo-G for supplying this sample.
